ICT and the New Ofsted Criteria

Posted by mattp

Ofsted StandardsOfsted has changed the way schools are inspected, simplifying the reporting process to include only four main inspection criteria. Now, officials will be focusing on how schools are improving Pupil Achievement, the Quality of Teaching, the Quality of Leadership and Management, and Standards of Behaviour and Safety. Our range of ICT and e-learning solutions can support schools in meeting each of these key criteria.

Start by helping students improve their results in the primary-specific learning platform Learnanywhere. The virtual learning environment gives you the opportunity to provide online personalised resources that cater for all abilities and learning styles.

You can use the VLE to raise standards of teaching too. The online library function, designed for your schools’ resources, lesson plans and training is a simple, yet effective way of sharing best practice among colleagues.

A School Jotter website could assist the leadership team in promoting the school. Upload newsletters, events and school policies with the easy-to-use website builder and effectively advertise the brand and ethos of your establishment.

Finally, make sure your school uses ICT to promote the importance of e-safety with Student Jotter. The secure e-portfolio and social network can be monitored by staff and parents to ensure students are safeguarded as they learn to work and collaborate together online.
