OK, so this term’s only just finishing and we know most of you have your mind on taking a well deserved break. But, if somewhere, lingering in the back of your mind, you’re thinking about resources for your classroom at the start of the next year, bear the following links in mind.

1. Way back at the beginning of the year we mentioned Mrs Pancake. Well, we’re mentioning it again, because it’s really, really good. It’s got a huge selection of resources for decorating your classroom and preparing for almost any topic you can think of. Best of all though, everything is free. (Although we’d suggest a little donation to reward their hard work)

2. Twinkl is another site with everything from classroom signs and banners to flashcards and worksheets. There’s plenty for free, although if you’re feeling flush there’s also a premium section. We weren’t so we’re not too sure what happens when you sign up for premium membership. A good alternative to Mrs Pancake with an easily identifiable artistic style.

3. Communication 4 All offers a selection of free and chargeable resources for primary schools. All the major topics including literacy, numeracy and science are covered. There’s quite a few unexpected ones too. We particularly liked the sign language and ICT sections which offered something a little different.
