3 links for creating a festive classroom

Christmas links
Christmas is a busy time of year for schools around the country. Plays, fetes and parties often seem to take over from work as the holiday season begins. This can be difficult for teachers looking for new activities and ideas to keep their students entertained.

With this in mind, we’ve found three Christmas themed links you can use for inspiration.

All Free Crafts has Christmas projects for you to try with pupils of all ages. Each activity has a list of materials you’ll need, followed by a set of simple instructions. The materials are cheap too, meaning there’s no need to stretch the school budget on supplies.

Boowa and Kwala is a well designed website, most suited for Key Stage 1. One of its best features is an online advent calendar that you can open every day on the Interactive Whiteboard. It’s a great way to start the day and get your students in the Christmas spirit during the final weeks of term. Also on offer is a Christmas pairs game and a set of colouring pictures for you to use.

Our last link is A Kid’s Heart, a site with a selection of Christmas themed online games. Spot the difference, online colouring and decorating a Christmas tree are just some of the applications on offer. Many will help young learners develop mouse and keyboard skills, but some are just purely for festive fun.
