Web 2.0 technologies are delivering new possibilities for extending enterprise efficiency. In particular, the corporate training function is being transformed by ‘disruptive’ 2.0 technologies such as Open Source, Open Content and rapid content development which blend traditional instructor led learning with online courses, quizzes, social media and networking tools. Emerging open source platforms deliver open business models and the agility to meet training and compliance demands head-on without incurring the licensing and support costs of expensive legacy enterprise portals.

This event will examine the opportunities and issues that enterprise 2.0 solutions are creating for organisations. In particular, we shall look at how budget cuts can be a good thing! by using real-life examples of how organisations can apply these disruptive technologies to save costs and transform teaching, learning and professional development.
