Learnanywhere Video Review by Learning Light

Written by Kirsty   // July 9, 2012   // Comments Off

David Patterson, the director of the e-learning consultancy company Learning Light, came into Webanywhere and reviewed a selection of our products, beginning with the Primary VLE, Learnanywhere.

David discusses Learnanywhere asking the question “Why is Learnanywhere so successful in schools in the UK and now increasingly overseas?”

David focuses primarily on the design. He mentions that the VLE is clearly aligned to Primary school needs, with considerable thought having gone into providing a bright engaging environment and well designed graphics which will delight young e-learners.

David elaborates further, discussing the simple, yet elegant interface and the use of Avatars, quizzes, chat and games.

In the next section David brings up the topic of parental engagement and how it is supported alongside online assessment and collaborative learning. The importance of delivering learning and achievement at primary level is also highlighted as the guiding principle that underpins Learnanywhere’s functionality.

In David Patterson’s view, having looked at learning platforms of all sizes and in many different market segments, all too often interfaces are neglected and, as a result, become barriers to learning.

With the primary school design, the simplicity of the interface and the supporting of parental engagement, David gave full marks to Learnanywhere in this two minute review of our Primary VLE.
