Google Apps for Education is a free suite of hosted email and collaboration applications, exclusively for schools and universities. Google manages all the technology details, so you can focus your time, energy and budgets on teaching your pupils.

Google Apps for Education includes all these useful applications:

Google Apps Reseller

  • Gmail – email with powerful anti spam filtering, anytime, anywhere access and built in voice and video chat facility, keeping you in touch 24 hours a day, 7 days week, 365 days a year.
  • Google Calendar – easily schedule appointments and meetings, create and share multiple calendars and fully integrated with Gmail.
  • Google Docs - collaborate and learn in real time with web based documents, spreadsheets, drawings and presentations.
  • Google Sites – an easy way to create and share web pages, blogs and wikis. Share with a few people, a whole organisation, or the whole world.
  • Google Groups – set up and manage discussion groups, allowing you to share documents, calendars and sites. Join a group or create your own, it’s as easy as picking a name and inviting your friends.

Other Google applications and services are included too.Google Picasa, for managing and editing images, Google Maps for navigating and group planning, and Google SketchUp, a fun and easy to use 3D modelling application.

Google Apps is a hosted solution which means that Google provide all the servers and look after all the software and updates. There is no software to install or hardware to buy.
