Parent Messenger: helping your school communicate

Written by Matthew Price   // November 1, 2011   // Comments Off

Do your parents know what’s happening at school?

Announcing important dates, setting homework and sending messages home has traditionally been a problem for schools.

Many parents are unable to come to school leaving little time for face to face communication with staff. Newsletters are often found scrunched up in the bottom of book bags, weeks or maybe even months out of date. Then, when it comes to winter time, parents are forced to rely on local radio or council sites to find out information about school openings and closures.

Opening the lines of communication

SMS and email for schools
Our Parent Messenger service is designed to change this by improving the way in which schools communicate.

The fast, flexible, system lets users send school SMS texts or emails to all parents or specific groups. Messages are sent and delivery reports received through an online interface. Using the service users can receive updates on everything from term dates to deadlines.

Using Parent Messenger to help your school

Using Parent Messenger means taking a step towards a greener school. Your institution can do it’s bit from the environment by ensuring paper usage is kept to a minimum.

Our service also has the potential to reduce the administrative burden placed on your office staff. The simple interface means parent messaging takes place through the click of a mouse. There’s no need to waste time printing, stuffing envelopes or distributing, the whole process is made easy.

Finally, Parent Messenger will make your school more inclusive. Sending both school SMS texts and emails means you can be assured every parent knows about the latest issues effecting the school and their children.

With research showing parental involvement has an impact on development, Parent Messenger becomes a powerful tool. One that can bring the school community together and give parents the chance to make a difference in their child’s learning.
